WELCOME TO PLAY PALS!

Play Pals Preschool is a fun & inclusive environment for young children to learn and grow!

Play Pals is a preschool aged camp affiliated with Pediatric Language Therapy – Children’s Development Center. We welcome all children!

We are currently operating as a small scale winter camp until our permitting is finalized and we can expand our programming at our unique San Leandro location.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

A Learning Through Play Program

7:30AM - 6:00PM • 4 or 5 Full-Day Schedules

As a Reggio-inspired program, PlayPals creates co-learning environments where teachers have a lateral relationship with children rather than a hierarchical one.

In addition to a teaching curriculum that views all children as competent and capable learners and individuals, we are firm believers that it is a child’s right to be a part of an inclusive setting.

For neurotypical children, studies indicate increased empathy and compassion for those around them, while outcomes for children with developmental delays include increased language development and social skills.

We find it incredibly important to reinforce the different milestones within social and emotional development and kindness with others.

Onsite speech and occupational therapy services will be offered to students who require additional support!

Research has shown that in the field of early education, inclusion settings benefit children with and without special needs.

Serving children aged 18 months - Pre-Kindergarten (5 years).

Our Story

Play Pals was started in February 2020 to bring social groups to families of young children who were lacking peer interaction during the COVID pandemic. Play Pals has grown into an inclusive program that supports play, learning, curiosity and friendships. Our warm, fun and experienced staff are excited to welcome your child.

Jennelle has a Bachelors Degree in Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Development from California State University East Bay. She is passionate about Reggio inspired curriculum and early childhood development as a whole. She brings a decade of experience in early education, a few of those years managing the operations of preschool programs of various sizes.

She is a true believer in meeting children where they are developmentally and the understanding that you can only play along in the world of children if you view them all as competent and capable. Jennelle looks forward to serving the next generation and the village that raises each and every one of them in her role at Play Pals.
